The Department of Community Medicine, Research Methodology and Biostatistics The Community Medicine Department of this Institution focusses on health of the population rather than individuals’ bridges the clinical practice and public health by emphasizing prevention and health promotion.This subject strengthens the students of 3rd and Final Bhms students for rendering the Community service.
This department consists of 1 teaching staff room,one museum,one demonstration room with two teaching staffs i.e Reader and a lecturer.
Field visits to Primary health center,Anganwadi center,subcenter,water treatment plant,pasteurization plant,industries,national health institute are held every session to expose our students for awareness.Rural health camps,immunisation camps ,school health programmes are organised regularly along with the observation of the public health days such as world health day,National Deworming day,No Tobacco day,World Environment day,World Aids day,Tuberculosis day,Nutrition week, etc.
Seminars,tutorials,group discussions,assesments are held regularly .
